War Room AR is a Real-Time Strategy game for the Microsoft Hololens. The project was a collaboration between Joydrop Ltd O/A Mikutech and Fanshawe College to experiment with the newly released Hololens. Gameplay is based on Canada's contribution to World War One seeing Candian / British forces facing office against Germans forces.
Put on the Hololens and step into your living room to see it transformed into a battlefield right before your eyes. Your couch may become a hill and your coffee table transformed into an unclimbable cliff side. Your goal is to control tanks, infantry, and planes to hold the map and protect your base will also launching counter-attacks on the enemy.
My Role
I was a programmer on the project mainly focusing on optimizations and animations. I also stepped in as a guide for the students we had teamed up with from Fanshawe College.
